Birchbox is a service that packs five to six samples of high-end beauty products, whether it be skin care, hair care, makeup or nail care in a cute little brown and pink box each month. The box is customized for each client depending on their product interest. I have found that it is a highlight of my month to open that little box and find new goodies to try out. Mind you, these "samples" seem to last me a couple of months each.

Ouidad Climate Control Heat and Humidity Gel
Ouidad claims that this product will prevent hair from expanding with humidity. The gel did seem to add a bit of weight hair, which does help to control it. I have lots of hair but it has body and is very thin, so it needs some sort of product in it to prevent frizz. I didn't feel that Ouidad was any better than a drugstore humidity control gel, but it did get the job done.

Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser
This is another one of my favorite Birchbox goodies. My skin is very prone to be oily and this cleanser seems to be so light and rinses off easily to leave my face feeling clean and toned. I have been using it every day since the delivery came and plan to buy more when it runs out.
Redken Shine Flash
Redken Shine Flash is a glistening mist to be used to put the finishing touch on your hair to add a high gloss finish. I think that it would really work well on stick straight hair better than it does on my hair that is impossible to get completely straight on my own. The scent is wonderful so I still use it just to give my hair the yummy smell.

June Jacobs Papaya Purifying Enzyme Masque
This enzyme mask is another one of the products from Birchbox that I have really enjoyed using. The mask is enzyme based and is supposed to remove dead cells on the outer layer of your face to reveal a clearer and more bright and youthful complexion. The mask stays on for 3-10 minutes so it is nice and quick. After I washed it off, my skin felt tingly and firm and was visibly smooth.
